Where salad has never grown before...

Imported salad is gaining popularity in the arctic nation of Greenland where traditional farming is impossible due to cold weather. Though the cost is high and the journey is long for leafy greens to reach Greenland’s shores from other parts of the world more families are incorporating them into their diet. Seizing on the opportunity one couple is doing the impossible, growing salad locally. Relying on hydroponic technology salad is now growing where it never has before.

Shot on location in Nuuk, Greenland this video gives a new take on the concept of local food.
